What is new?

ISAF Exhibition 2011

Istanbul Expo Center is going to host Security and Fire exhibition starting 22nd of September. We invite all security companies to come see us at the show.

Turkey is a country that has shown 5.25 five year rate of growth. Yet, it has a long way to go as far as security industry is concerned. We believe there is great opportunity for security companies to come and visit this exhibition. From our experience, we are also aware that Alarm Receiving Centers (ARC) are far more advanced in Istanbul than most parts of the world. When it comes to infrastructure such as phone lines, internet infrastructure and banking options, Turkey has a quite competitive position. We will be displaying our products and innovative solutions in Comon Professionals stand: A-530.

This year our visitors will have a chance to see our integrator products that we have merged through our add-on. This is a good opportunity for monitoring stations to see how they can expand their platform to provide extensive services that will bring more recurring revenue.

This exhibition will also give us a great chance to meet our global customers and partners. We have contributed success to many stations through our services. They have started increasing their portfolio from which they collect regular fees. Now it’s time to discuss how we can expand their stable business and provide competitive edge.

We Will be more than happy to provide tips for places to see and make it a pleasant stay for those that have not visited Turkey before.

One of the most interesting solutions that will be displayed in our stand is the Aguard Project. It is an extensive solution for online Guard Tracking System.

Our Innovative solutions will be presented with many combinations of security solutions. The multi-purpose RFID solution extends from physical security tracking to money transfer solutions. The greatest part of all is that the system will be manageable online from any smart phone devices, tablet PC’s and Internet Browsers.

The project is aiming to bring Physical Security companies, Cleaning Companies and similar service providers together with security companies under this solution. They will have the opportunity to communicate and track their status on an organized portal. This high quality service is aiming to bring a brand new field to Alarm Receiving Companies. Therefore, not only is the platform great for providing a solution to general security market demands but it will also bring Monitoring Stations into the picture through its unique high level technology.

Another interesting solution to see is the Videofied video verification solution. This is one of the hottest products in the marketing field. Our visitors will have the chance to see Videofied system benefits when used with A-traq.

ISC West Security exhibition was live and active as usual. Although most people are talking about the recession in Las Vegas, the show did not seem to have any resemblance. In general it seemed to host quite a large number of companies that had new products.

The Iphone application sponsored by Anixter was quite useful, but it would have made life easier if there was free WiFi in the show. Although the application contained Exhibitors, Maps, Summaries and even a scheduler, it must have been quite costly for smart phones that were visiting from outside US. It is great that the data is still there and I still have access to the “online catalogue” of ISC West 2011.

System IV Receivers by Tyco certainly is one of the products that caught our attention with its advanced scalability features.
The New Product Showcase by SIA had the most interesting items this year. The Connettix D6200 Programing and Administration software for BOSCH D6600 and D6100 receivers is quite interesting. It has a GSM/VoIP Compensation mode to process alarm signalsmodified by Voice over IP (VoIP) or digital

phone networks. It interprets signals more than %75. Monitoring America has a very cost efficient dealer program that interesting for those that may like to start monitoring integrator business. There are similar dealer models however I must admit it was surprising to see such a low price for monitoring.

XTO – Outdoor Cordless/Wireless Panel solution of Videofied is also quite innovative. It can operate up to 4 Years on D Cell batteries. It has 2 integrated long range antennas: one for 915 Mhz communicators between the panel and Motion Viewers and one for GSM communications from the panel to the Central Station. Axis M5014 PTZ Dome Camera is a palm sized network solution that has a built in microphone. Almost all IP cameras have a built in web server so you can manage them online. High quality interface allows secure access.

This meets demands of A-traq users in many ways. Monitoring stations do not prefer local access to video since they rent the camera to collect fees on a regular basis. This means that the site does not have access to the feed if they do not know the access password.

Monitoring station has the chance of accessing any IP camera directly without a DVR unit, eliminating the risk of media destruction by intruder.
It is impossible cover all interesting products in this short article. One distinct factor is that there are lots of companies that provide components and specific solutions used often in security projects. There were quite a few Wireless and IP communication hardware solutions. It seems that the security infrastructure is heading in that direction. A distinct common practice is system management via smart phones.

Most camera and panels are now accessed by smart phones using GPRS. This is a great benefit for Alarm Monitoring subscribers since they will be able to disarm their system even when they are away from home. One of the most critical issues is what to do in case of a false alarm where the subscriber is away. Once the alarm is detected, the operator will instruct the subscriber to disarm the system. This way, the operator will not need access to the panel.
